Experience IT provides a platform to enable potentially vulnerable young people to gain work experience and develop employability skills. We believe our students have a wide range of skills that could benefit the local and wider community. The three key areas of the Experience IT project are our products, services and work placements. We believe that each of these strands offer considerable benefits to both students and the surrounding community.
Our vision is to give students a chance to work individually or as part of a team on real world projects to gain valuable experience in order to prepare them for employment. Students will also have the opportunity to produce and maintain a CV alongside learning a variety of employability and lifeskills via our preparation for adulthood sessions.
Our students create a range of products that can be purchased direct or from our market stall which is present at most local events.
We offer a range of services such as computer repairs, digital signage, event photography, garden maintenance and website development.
We are continuously looking for work placements within the computing/technology sector, horticulture, retail and trade industry.
